Education

The Actuary SAA study program

The SAA offers comprehensive training for actuaries. The training can be completed at various universities. The prerequisite for the title is passing the examinations and at least three years of professional actuarial experience. The course includes lectures at the university as well as a professionalism course and ends with an examination colloquium. After successful completion, the examination board applies for the candidate's admission to the SAA Actuary Section.

Further training

Stay on the ball

SAA attaches great importance to being up to date, which is why regular further training is also part of the program. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has been mandatory for all members since 2012. Every year, 20 credit points are earned, i.e. around 20 hours of further training in seminars organized by the SAA or other European actuarial associations as well as internal training courses. The aim is to ensure the quality and reputation of the profession and to actively involve members in the activities of the SAV.
