HOW DO I BECOME AN ACTUARY?

Study Actuary SAV

The title "Actuary SAV" can be obtained by anyone who fulfills the requirements of the SAV 2023 syllabus and can demonstrate at least 3 years of relevant actuarial practice.
The application for the Actuary:in SAV course is submitted to the examination board. This decides which examinations are still required to fulfill the SAV 2023 syllabus.

Once all examinations have been passed, candidates apply for admission to the SAV Actuary examination colloquium. Candidates who do not have to take any additional examinations due to their academic education (Master of Science in Actuarial Science) apply directly for admission to the SAV Actuary Examination Colloquium.
The provisions for admission to the examination colloquium are set out in the Actuary:in SAV examination regulations and the guidelines.

A one-off dossier fee of CHF 200 is charged upon admission.

Examination colloquium

The Actuary SAV examination colloquium takes place at least once a year. The date, location and costs are advertised on this website.
