Coordination, development and monitoring of professional guidelines of the SAA

The Commission manages the ordinary process for issuing guidelines and principles. It can set up specialist groups to draw up guidelines and principles. It also draws up statements on professional issues, consultations and revisions, can initiate the issue of guidelines and principles and submit these to the Board of Directors for approval. The CBF monitors and provides information on the issuing of relevant international guidelines. It is also the guardian of the Code of Professional Conduct and the Disciplinary Code. The CBF represents the SAA in the Professionalism Committee of the IAA.
