Fulfillment and recognition of continuing education obligations

In order to fulfill their continuing professional development obligations, SAA actuaries must provide proof of 20 credit points earned annually. According to the SAA CPD concept, this corresponds to approximately 20 hours. You can personally book these hours electronically in your Credit Points account.

Events organized by the SAA, events organized by other European actuarial associations and internal continuing education courses are (partially) recognized. Details can be found in the SAA communications and in the electronically available regulations.

Members with the additional CERA qualification who already belong to the SAA Actuaries Section are not subject to any additional continuing education obligation. Without membership of the SAA Actuaries Section, 20 credit points must be earned annually. Continuing education opportunities related to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) are offered.
