COLLOQUIUM
Admission to the Actuary SAA examination colloquium

Candidates who do not have to take any additional examinations due to their academic training apply directly for admission to the Actuarial SAA examination colloquium, provided they can provide evidence of the required relevant professional actuarial experience.
All other candidates must pass and pay for the examinations imposed on them and provide evidence of relevant professional actuarial experience. The number of years of professional practice required has been communicated to the candidate upon admission to the Actuarial SAA study programme (3 years).
The provisions for admission to the examination colloquium are set out in the SAA Actuarial Examination Regulations.
The Actuary SAA examination colloquium takes place at least once a year. If there are fewer than 5 participants, the SAA Actuary examination colloquium will not be held.
Only candidates who have previously been accepted as ordinary members of the SAA Association by the SAA Board of Directors may be admitted to the SAA Actuaries Section. Without full membership of the Association, the candidate cannot be admitted to the Actuary SAA examination colloquium.
Registration
The form must be completed in full and returned. Among the enclosures, detailed proof of relevant professional actuarial experience from the employer is particularly important.
A guide explains the procedure, the requirements for candidates and the expectations of the experts.
Provisional registration is possible if the candidate still has an examination date after the registration deadline. This must be clearly noted on the registration form with the date of the planned examination.
Costs
CHF 1'500.-
Please note that the costs for the colloquium will be invoiced together with the professionalism course (CHF 2,000).
